Do Millennials still get liquored up and head down to Mexico for hookers, Is it just me or does this new generation seem a bit uptight and puritanical?

I was in highschool in the early 2000s and yesssssssss the gross ones did.
Disgusting.

Are you jelly that the cool kids didn't invite you to Spring Break with them?

Respectfully speaking, the early 00's still was very much in line with the rest of the late 20th century, from what I saw.
I noticed more of a big change in the attitudes and personalities of "young people" around 2009-10.

Can't help thinking that the notion Millennials somehow defy the rule of apples and how far they fall from their trees... seems like some kind of popular fiction more than anything.

I tend to agree. I think it's less that this new generation is incredibly dumb; and more that young people do stupid shit, and with modern technology, this generation's stupid shit is more public than previous generations. People have always spoke down on "kids today".

Did you even read the thread, douche bag? The point is that young people today do less "stupid sh!t" than previous generations.
Whether that is good or bad is a judgment call.
I personally think that is bad; a pompous uptight prick like yourself may think it's good.

They don't have to go to Mexico.
American girls their age are putting out and stds are spreading......

It's not just sex it's an adventure . . .
Cultural exchange, etc.
10 Name: Anonymous : 2016-12-13 19:09
If they go to Mexico..then its not to hook up....it is for the adventure and culture.
11 Name: Anonymous : 2016-12-13 19:31
Why not do all three?
12 Name: Anonymous : 2016-12-13 19:38
There's a huge AIDS epidemic...
Maybe its not worth it?
13 Name: Anonymous : 2016-12-13 19:49
bless them

Maybe there's something to the idea that overexposure to stupid *beep* on the internet is creating a society of long distance voyeurs for whom participation (oat sowing, hellraising, and so forth) is passé?

Yes, I read the exact same thing in The Washington Post about six months ago. Not that it's a reputable sociological journal or anything but it is a good jumping off point, yes.
To be honest the reason I started this thread is because I just watched Rolling Thunder (1977).

I'm a douche bag, and a pompous uptight prick... because I think the way people talk about millennials is an exaggeration. yea, that makes sense.
17 Name: Anonymous : 2016-12-13 20:37
You're quite an arrogant one for being as illiterate as you are. Come back when you gain at least a modicum of reading comprehension, fuckface . . .
18 Name: Anonymous : 2016-12-13 20:48
yea, because I'm the one who looks like an idiot in this exchange... I'm only arrogant in the face of stupidity. you're replies to me have earned it.

but to answer your thread question, I have no idea. I don't live in a part of the country where getting liquored up and heading down to Mexico is feasible.

Ok thanks brah! 👍

My ex bf, a caring Christian, used to build houses there for homeless people.
Anyway, Tijuana has gotten really dangerous and gross lately(major AIDS and drug use).
so it's just not safe by the border.
I'm a millennial but of a different era I feel. My bf is a millennial but he grew up on the internet. Whereas; I did not..

TJ has had that "gross and dangerous" reputation since at least the 1940's, brah.
My own father used to talk about it, among other things.
23 Name: Anonymous : 2016-12-13 21:22
Yeah, but now it's 100 times worse, the 1940s didn't have this kind of drug problem.
All the deported people end up there..homeless and shunned by their home country.

And your children will grow up in an era with an iPhone in one hand in a tablet in the other!
Interesting how much technology has changed in a few short years.
25 Name: Anonymous : 2016-12-13 21:31
Sounds pretty sketch, brah.
26 Name: Anonymous : 2016-12-13 21:33
Is it just me or does this new generation seem a bit uptight and puritanical?
It might be due to their uptight puritanical parents.
