Why a lot of third party voters dislike "liberals"

1 Name: Anonymous : 2016-12-10 00:54
This has been something I've been meaning to post but haven't got around to it, but I saw someone make a comment about how a lot of third party voters are more hostile towards liberals. I'll quote my other post:

No, you see this is why I and so many other third party voters dislike so called "liberals" --- I get more liberals attacking me for my views than conservatives. When I tell a conservative I typically vote 3rd party their response is usually "okay, whatever." Nonchalance. Whenever I tell a liberal, however: "You bigot, you basically voted for Trump. Any vote against my Chosen One is for Hitler Reincarnated!!! Do you know what you've done?!" Of course, I'm being a little dramatic for effect but this is the summary of what's said, and it's obnoxious. How DARE we have an opinion that's different from theirs. It's just not allowed. So yeah, I personally feel more hostility towards these types of people. But who can blame me?

Oh, that's right: liberals can.

Basically, it's because while to an extent this might be a generalization, it's been my experience that conservatives are actually far less "agree with me or GTFO" about 3rd party voters. It's especially irritating when liberals are the ones who claim to be the rational, open minded party... but don't you dare disagree with them.

That's why.

"Liberal" in the context of today, especially young "liberals", Means "hive mind". If you step out of the hive mind, like say you don't agree that a man can suddenly be a woman just because he says he is......then you're evil, a hate monger, a fascist, etc etc etc.

It really is the result of a whole generation growing up without ever being told no, without being told they aren't special, without being told that not everyone in the world is the same, or that theirmopinion doesn't mean any more than anyone else's, etc.

It's also the result of the Internet. Today's kids are much more advanced knowledge wise than kids in the past have been but they are also less emotionally developed because everything is Nerfed for them.

My friend told me he spanked his kid the other day and his GF threw an absolute fit, asking him why he did it instead of just giving the kid a timeout. The kid wasn't listening to him so he spanked him. He didn't beat him, he just spanked him. Nobody would have batted an eye when I was a kid if someone spanked their child.

That's the problem today. Kids are just coddled and then when they get into the real world they expect everyone to continue coddling them and that's not real life. It's why you have kids crying and saying their "scared" because their candidate lost a freaking election. It's why they demand "safe spaces" at college.

The country rally is in trouble once Millenials start running things because they are a broken, weak generation.

I agree.

People are too fast and loose with the word bigot these days. To the point it's losing its meaning. It's the Little Boy Who Cried Wolf situation; after a while, no one believes you.

Not everything is sexist/racist/homophobic/xenophobic/ableist. Not everyone is racist/sexist/homophobic/xenophobic/ableist. This mindset that everyone who has different beliefs than the leftist status quo is a freaking bigot is obnoxious, and simply saying that will get you labeled as a bigot

Third-party voters are simply realizing what the rest of us are - that liberals are intolerant, Fascist asshats.

I doubt it, seeing that I voted for Jill Stein, and I'm as far left as left can be.

"So-called 'liberals'" is an apt phrase. What I see is so-called conservatives calling anybody who differs from their--the cons-- party line scummy or pinhead liberals. It's like they are scared of a great big dark closet filled with drooling, toothy monsters....LIBERALS...and just start hurling whatever pointy epithets they have at hand (usually low diction.)

The funny thing is if you spend time with far-leftists they bitch about liberals too. But to them "liberals" doesn't mean snobby leftists, it means "people who don't believe in total state control." (Which is much too right wing for them)

Nah, far-leftists believe in a stateless society.

We really are ruled by idiots.
