How can anyone argue that Trump shouldn't be Person of the Year?

He completely dominated the news and was the biggest dark horse in political history.

I have decided to cancel my subscription to Time for the waiting room of my office. This is even worse then when they had the cop-outs like "you", "the protester", et cetera.

What I found interesting (from my own personal perspective but my clients liked it too) is in one of my offices I stocked the waiting room with old back issues of Time, National Geographic, and Playboy from the 1950's, 60's, and 70's.

Agree. They pulled the same thing last year if I recall. Chose someone no one even remembers now, when everyone knows Trump was the story of the world, same as this year. That there is even a "contest" shows what a joke that publication is now. This election cycle has really torn the veneer off of so many former pillars of our news culture. Everyone seems so compromised and dishonest.

Person of the Year should always be one single important person. They don't have to pick Trump, but whomever they pick should be just as significant for the year.

They could even pick Hillary, as she did have a significant failure that was almost a sure thing.

Come on. Time has been irrelevant for two decades. You had a subscription?! Did you know that Newsweek was sold for $1?
