The older I get, the more I hate American culture.

So I go walking to my local Circle K today because I don't have a driver's license and what do I notice?
Everyone these days are either fat or a bunch of rednecks and drive ugly ass cars. Everyone man these days wears those ugly ass thick rimed hipster glasses because they think it makes them so smart and hip. And everywhere I shop, I always hear the same old bland ear-bleeding EDM or stale boring post-grunge music blasting through the speakers.
Maybe it's just my age, maybe I don't get out enough or it's where I live, but the older I get, the more I hate being around people.

The older I get, the more I hate the poor. Don't get me wrong, I know they aren't all bad, but I get tired of the stupidity, the noise, the baby mamas, the pants hanging off asses, the dirty white people, the unruly brat children etc. I've lived in poor areas and I've lived in affluent areas. People with money generally act at least halfway sensible.

Don't be so hard on them. Obesity and redneckness are by-products of hard work. Its true. Show me a fat person and I bet they have a stressful or time consuming job. And if you do have that, comforts like beer and tv wrestling and other things you associate with rednecks also help with holding down a job.

What you saw were hipsters & nobody likes them.
If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything.

>>1Hey you kids!
Get off my lawn!
I see it as an extension of "If it's too loud, you're too old."
It failure to evolve.

The older I get the more I hate literally everyone.
*beep* humanity, *beep* other people.

I feel like the hard edge to my hate, or at least extreme negative attitude toward the world, has softened a little. I suspect it's largely the fact that I'm able to live mostly hidden away. Most outings do put me in a deep, anxious depression, though. I enjoy pleasantness, but I've found most tend not to like people like myself much, so I guess it's working out the best it can.
I read this quote once from Pascal - “All of humanity's problems stem from man's inability to sit quietly in a room alone.”
I don't know how true it might be on a literal level, but it's always struck a chord.
