What's bad about Trump's Muslim ban?

So far all I've heard is that it'll anger the Muslims already in the US and they'll get violent.

Oh yeah, that's a great reason to let more Muslims in

It's unconstitutional, sock-a-tard.

It's stupid. Muslim refugees aren't our problem. It also plays right into ISIS hands by saying that the US is at war with Islam.

It's also inhumane and bigoted, punishing innocent people because they happen to share a religion with a handful of bad guys. How would Republicans like it if we banned Christian immigration because of guys like that nut who shot up the Planned Parenthood?

So we let ISIS dictate our foreign policy now?

Why did you just deny the Holocaust? Only a few Nazis were involved with that, after all.

How would Republicans like it if we banned Christian immigration because of guys like that nut who shot up the Planned Parenthood?
If they did it at the frequency as Muslims, sure.

I agree. That's why we shouldn't let them or any other poor and uneducated people to the US. We have enough problems as it is.

By inviting people who are poor, uneducated, and desperate you are inviting crime.

How would Republicans like it if we banned Christian immigration because of guys like that nut who shot up the Planned Parenthood?

See above.

Muslim immigration IS a problem in Europe and Australia. It is far more problematic than Chinese, Christian African or even Hindu immigration. Aside from what the Muslims think about it, I think it only a beneficial policy.

Personally I support it, but I dont know that it's the 'right' or best idea. It could have a very polarizing effect on those millions of muslims in the Middle East, causing them to ban together and 'radicalize' against the US. It could be a form of isolation that could harm our relations with other countries.

Cant really predict it. I will say this, Bush allowed in 33,000 muslim refugees and no one was concerned.

I also dont believe any of those refugees are responsible for any terrorist attacks, or murders, or rapes.

So it sounds good, banning them, as a short term band aid to a supposed fear and a much larger issue, but in the long run, it might not be the best idea.

Freedom of religion, freedom of thought, freedom from societal/state authority to tell you what you can believe and what you can't is one of the most elementary beliefs out of the Englightenment and the one reason we can be proud we are not societies like Saudi Arabia and the like.

For one thing, he said it would be temporary.
I find that unacceptable.
