is it true that you edit peoples posts?

I heard this rumor of censorship:
dis.4ct.org admin/mod rewrites, edits, and posts for political purposes
is it true? If so would you make a statement?
Ideally commit to not editing peoples posts in future but I would like to hear what you have to say.

political purposes
Didn't know 4ct was running for office, only Donald John Trump, Sr. stands in 4ct's way of being President of the United States.

This Young Generation Has No Attention Span.
I went to visit my mom and my teen brother was on this site YouNow where teens broadcast etc. and those kids have no attention spans. Every room he went into was the same. No attention spans at all.
Almost looked painful f3or them to read the chats to the rooms they are running and would lose focus within seconds. The girls are not that bad but the guys? Wow. They are broadcasting and ignoring their viewers with their faces in their phones. Scary.

sorry, couldn't make it past "visit my mom"
does that mean you went upstairs?

How could they?
Ever look at TV analytically? There's seldom a single shot on the screen anymore that lasts 2 full seconds. Blip. Blip. Blip. Blip. It's not meant to focus on. It's meant to mesmerize.
And then there's reading. It's dead. Except for this, here Usually Two words
-sent from my Android-
Then theres all the distractions of a world moving forever faster, and people trying to keep up. Half these kids were coke and crack babies.
They live next to a shell shocking freeway in a parking lot where cars are slamming doors and starting up all the time and the train runs through, raisng blood pressures, breathing rates and heartrates from five miles away.
Dogs barking. people screaming. engines roaring, music thump thump thumping.
An attention span is practically extinct, and actually made war on as well- not to be possessed by the working classes.

I remember my folks and teachers saying that about my generation, which is a couple of decades ago They were right I'm sure in comparison to their world.
It's an issue that is gradually growing and doing so exponentially, and leading to the old "rat test" where the rats in crowded and hostile environments turned on each other. And of course, the liberal answer is gun control and doling out money while the conservative one is longer prison terms and everyone packing.

I have an autorip copy of "Blackstar" but I haven't been able to listen to it from beginning to end.
Knowing that it is probably the last kind of wrecks me and I'm not ready for it.
I'm sure you remember my giddiness over the "Five Years" box set but I am wondering what will happen to the planned future box sets. The box sets were supposed to cover his entire career and I hope those future box sets are not shelved.

Blackstar is excellent and very different than the hard rocking The Next Day. Bowie apparently wanted to do one more album after Blackstar and had already written five songs for it when his cancer took a sudden turn for the worst.

I like "Blackstar" on the whole, although a wee bit of overuse on the sax.
Station To Station will always be his masterpiece for me.

Its interesting they put a Best of album on the list and its even more interesting that its 6th. By definition...shouldnt a best of be the best?

Amazing.
This is great to hear!
His death is sad but on the bright side his popularity has skyrocketed. More importantly people (young and old) are discovering him for the first time.
In the early 2000s my friends thought I was weird because I was so into him. Now with his popularity apparent on youtube, social media it should be obvious to them now I had good taste.

Diamond Dogs is my favorite with Station to Station number 2. My third favorite in not one of the 19! Live at the Tower in Philadelphia is my third favorite! Why it is not in the 100 is amazing to me!
You may be right, I might be crazy, but it just may be a lunatic you are looking for!

I havent heard any of his live albums but I do have the Ziggy DVD.
I need to rank the albums but its hard to figure out which ones I like better. Each are their own character.

In the late 70s it was Bowie and Pink Floyd that we listened to mostly

I never liked David Bowie's 'looks'.
I know it was a 'gimmick' of his to appear androgenous, but I never liked it.
I only liked some of his music, not all.
Has anyone seen his Black Star video?

>>22Did he himself refer to it as a "gimmick"? I believe it was an aesthetic choice which had as much depth or meaning as he himself intended it to.
24 Name: Anonymous : 2016-01-18 00:30
I always thought it was a gimmick based on the 'glam' trend popular at that time.
You could be right though.
