Our 2 great allies just don't seem to get along
Israel has better weather and better looking people and best hummus and lox on planet
U.K. had great diversity of blacks and Muslims and Indians along with tons of semi destroyed castles and constant rain along with fish and chips
Brits are pretty left wing
Israelis are pretty right wing
Israel is surrounded by worlds greatest defensive wall and UK is fully open

Mate, you need to ease up on Israel's promotion. When you are that pushy people often instinctively dislike your point. you are not doing us any favors.
And where in the world Israel is "pretty right wing"? We have no political right. No one here is pushing for smaller government, rights of individual or freer economy.
It's just a 50 shades of Red and a bunch of religious parties.
Anyhow, happy new year!

In the long haul, in the Mideast, who cares?
Israel.

>>2 most of my comments are mere bad jokes, really.
Interesting point about your comments about no political right.
You guys don't have much friends but you got almost every white Conservative in America I can guarantee you.

I'm glad we have their support but it doesn't change the fact that this country was created as a Socialist entity and we still have a long way to go to become a truly free society.

Whichever has the least diversity. I'll go with Israel.

Wrong. Ours is the most truly multi-cultural country: people from a hundred different cultures find their home here and, despite major differences (a Western intellectual vs practically a stone age Ethiopian) and tensions become one nation.

Personally, I don't believe the wall is defensive. I believe it's offensive. In both senses of the word.

There were more "successful" terrorists attacks in the year before the fence(it's not a wall) was built than in the 13 years after. You can say the path of the fence is problematic and it makes the lives of the people living near it miserable. You cant make the claim that the fence didn't saved thousands of Israeli and Palestinian lives.

I'd love to hear your reasoning.
Thing is, it worked and now many people with similar problems (militant religious fanatics trying to kill you) are doing the same thing.

Israel's definitely the better ally. They've fought alongside American troops in...
they fought in....well I guess in no wars alongside American soldiers whatsoever. Whether Israel didn't exist, wasn't asked to participate, or the US left Israel to fight their own wars is absolutely immaterial. The fact of the matter is calling Israel a "great" ally of the US and insinuating on par with the UK is an absolute joke, and a disservice to the British soldiers who have fought alongside Americans in what? Six wars?
