Seriously, what is the point of that. I have nothing against a guy who finds the love of his life in a foreign land. I'm from Texas but I met my wife in Virginia so I know it happens.
But if you have found the love of your life in another country, marry her and bring her home. What is the point of getting engaged and bringing her for a visit before the wedding? So she can see if America is as fabulous as she thinks? If her wanting to marry you depends on whether the housing, shopping, food, etc. of the U.S. suits her, it's time to reconsider this match made in heaven.

The point of it is to have the government rather than some horny guy in control of immigration policy. So you don't have the right to bring just any foreign bitch home. She has to meet certain standards and so do you.
It's got little or nothing to do with giving the fiance a look at America before she says I do.

Uh oh. Are we talking the infamous Scandinavian standard?

I don't know. Do they make the sponsor show ten years of tax returns ?

Or they could at least hold them to the same regulations.
