Because it's a comparative word. By banning it, the person who wrote the original article wants to make sure we can't call women "too" bossy, "too" overweight, etc...

Basically, she wanted it banned so men can't have standards in women anymore. We just have to accept them all, you know?

She points out that routinely describing women as "too...." is essentially criticizing them for not meeting some unobtainable standard and decided to try not to do that herself by limiting her own use of the word "too".

She didn't call for anyone else to ban anything. But I guess it's more fun to take a reasonable viewpoint and run it through the crazy filter a couple of times and only comment on the distorted remnants.

The author comes across as arrogant, like she suddenly had this "epiphany", is full of sudden wisdom, and her reaction is she needs to immediately go out and tell everyone else why they are wrong or imply that people suddenly need to "do" something to fix what she's offended by.

Personally I'm offended that, after spending 22+ years of my adult life defending the rights of all US citizens constitutional protections, that others think they can curtail my 1st Amendment rights.
