I never really understood why people sue to get their jobs back when fired for stupid reasons like this unless they are really desperate for work. They would obviously be coming back to a boss who isn't happy at all with them, back into a hostile work environment where people will be looking for her to slip up again. She won't be getting good reviews at her work. It just sounds like a really stressful position to be fighting to put yourself back into. The only advantage, as I see it, is to start immediately looking for a new job and still be able to put this one on a resume.

a) She should have paid for the meal BEFORE she gave it to the child or given him the money to buy his meal. It isn't "generous" to give away OTHER People's stuff. That's what Republicans and Democrats can't or won't get through their heads.
b) All public school lunches should be free to all students regardless of need, period. Lunches are a joke. Kids don't like them so schools ban make-at-home lunches. Cafeterias plan each meal around every student in school being present and every one of them wanting lunch. So the waste is incredible.
c) Kids are forced by law to attend public school. Where the law allows home schooling, administrators deliberately mislead parents about the requirements for home schooling to discourage them from this perfectly legal means of educating their kids. If you force a kid out of his home to be held in servitude for seven and a half hours and then don't feed him, you have violated his human rights. Whoever made that policy should be prosecuted for a crime against humanity.
