Do you Brits use these £1 coins a lot in transactions? We have $1 coins in the US but you don't see them in circulation very often (I guess because they are heavy and you can't just fold them into a wallet like a bill).

Yeah they were pushing them really hard back when they first came out. I just threw them in a drawer when I got home because they were a pain to carry.

Yeah, I remember seeing a ton of commercials and other advertisements trying to encourage people to use those Sacajawea dollars. I have a huge pile of them sitting on my dresser. I can't even remember where I got them, but I've had them for years.

They're just a nuisance. I can pay for almost everything with my card - even the wee shop on the corner of my street takes contactless payments nowadays.
