http://www.cnn.com/2015/12/02/opinions/hewitt-donald-trump-media/index.htmlThe media want to try to put Trump in a headlock, but he refuses to tap out. It's frustrating to the MSM, energizing to the Trump legions.
I pointed out to Cooper and his other guests, Amanda Carpenter and Peter Beinart, the views of a large slice of the American electorate: They hate, hate, hate the media.
That gap -- millions cheering Trump and zero supporters in the credentialed MSM -- tells you much, much more about the collapse of media credibility in the country than it does about Donald Trump. The Manhattan-Beltway media elite is as much a part of the Trump story as Trump himself.
I think there some truth to this but it misses the mark. When I see the media covering Trump, it just seems really biased. They don't actually listen to what he is saying and neurotically look for reasons to make a post on the /newpol/ board to say why they hate him. They've already decided they hate him before even really considering his position.
But the opinion itself is still biased. It's not just a sheer dislike of the media, but also an actually liking of Trump. I think Trump supporters (well I can only speak for myself really) actually like and for good reason, and the opinion author takes is step further and paints us as blind followers who react to criticism.
