I haven't read it. I hear it's a pretty boring book, or maybe interest comes from knowing who wrote it and what happened afterwards. I'm not much of a believer in the 'Hitler-cult', I think that Germany would have probably done better with pretty much anyone else leading the country in WW 2. Or better yet, wouldn't have started the war to begin with.

They should have a good old fashioned book burnin' and burn it along with any other ones that the current Führer disagrees with while their at it!

Makes you wonder if this is a cause and effect type of thing, with all of the immigrants over there and everything, I mean. You never know what that book could do to someone every bit as angry and ambitious...

Books should not normally be banned, but Germany after the war was a special case. Enough time has now passed though for the German people to be treated as grown-ups.

You live in the States? Over there you have the Aryan Brotherhood and other white power movements responsible for a lot deaths. Also, since Nazi materials such as items with the swastika are banned to manufacture in Germany, they import that stuff from the States.

Step 1) December 2015: Collect all news You can get about Germany

Step 2) Get rid off all news containing the words

- Nazi
- Hitler
- Refugee
- Volkswagen

Step 3) Read the rest and try to understand it

For example: one of thousands of more important news from Germany this month:

Who is Achille Mbembe?
What did he wrote?
Why is it seen important?
Who were the Scholls?
What was the "White Rose resistance" ?
Are there any films about them?

Who got the prize last year and why?

Even I once tried reading it ... its an absolutely horrible read, though. It makes the average /lounge/ boarder post look structured and sane.
