I don't support nut jobs like Mike Huckabee either, but a centre right government is the most effective. The U.K., Australia and up until recently Canada all had the right idea. Take care of the middle class and don't get caught up in petty religious arguments. If it wasn't for the Republicans obsession with stopping gay marriage they'd win 65% of the vote here in the U.S.

'Left' and 'right' are relative terms. And the outgoing government in Canada ramped up debt and deficits while destroying the economy. It also set a record for the most MPs convicted of criminal charges in history, which is not "the right idea".

What works is actual common sense, which isn't in play for anyone pumping an ideology or side. All you've done is demonstrate how low you need to set the bar when you back ideology over sense.
