Statue of Liberty Poem Does Not Dictate Immigration Law

When France gave us the Statue of Liberty in the late 1800s, the U.S. immigration policy was in regards to accepting people from northwestern Europe (Anglo-Saxons).

It only dictates the idealization of those who want us to have an open border.

It was a poem contest winner as I recall, and isn't part of the Constitution. Just like the "golden rule" is nice but is not one of the biblical commandments.

The Statue of Liberty and that "give me your huddled masses yearning to [sponge off the taxes of those that are already here]" like "God" and "heterosexual traditional families" that many multi-culti self-styled "libs" regard as quaint, antiquated and out-moded, should be tossed out.

That verdigris, hunk of bronze should be toppled to block off the harbor. Figuratively speaking.

Immigration to paraphrase JFK, should be "ask not what the US can do for unskilled, dirt-poor, refugees, but what can immigrants do for the US".

Skills based immigration-- not the BS "family unification" that the Kennedys designed as a way to build a loyal voting base of ignorant, loyal supplicants to be paid off with public benefits, that has evolved into the Open Borders Democrat Party circa 2015.
