Just got caught speeding 63 in a 30.... First of all I respect both officers for doing the job they are doing but I do not agree with how they spoke down to me.

What makes the officer driving any more qualified to be able to turn on some blue lights and all of a sudden he is a better driver than everyone else on the road. I know female drivers that would of left him in the dust.. Accelerating round bends, no wonder you're under steering MATE.

They going to book me for speeding and try and push for driving with undue care and attention. My attention and focus on the road and potential hazards was on fire, as always. Dynamic risk assessments.

The officers asked me what my best excuse was, I explained to both my best excuse I have for them is I have been very busy working all day and don't really have time to be sitting being people going 20 in a 30. I was just on my way to get some vitamin C, dark chocolate and green tea. They both laughed and said poor excuse if a child would of stepped out in the road they would of been dead.

I replied my vehicle has a higher safety rating than there's and I spend thousands making sure my car has the best tyres brakes suspension ect. I also explained my car is definitely a lot faster than there's so no need to talk to me like I'm a criminal because I had the power to either leave them in a cloud of smoke or be sensible and pull over. Lucky for them I am sensible and stopped. I also said just because he is a police officer and older than me doesn't mean he's a better driver than me because I know for a fact if we went head to head on need for speed or round a track I would smash him 10x over.

He didn't like being spoken down to either.

I appreciate what you're saying but I also know my own ability in both driving, reading the road and every potential hazard. If you was driving down the biggest open road in the world, 1000miles long and 10 miles wide and the speed limit was 30mph would you stay at 30mph? Would I? Who gets where they need to be safe and sound, faster?
