personally i think theres a good amount of television programming that exceeds the quality of most films that are being released...but once in a while we do get some great films.. that arent necessarily high budget. the high budget ones i think could go either way.. really depends on whos directing it. ex. bay vs nolan.

She who starred in the god awful, but made a lot of money, Spider-Man franchise has the nerve.

Or, maybe it just gives her the perspective.

That's like saying an ex-drug addict can't tell you that doing drugs is wrong.

On one level she's right, but the rather obvious subtext is that she's putting a spin on not getting offered those kind of movies anymore or she wouldn't be doing TV.

Yeah I don't see Meryl Streep or Cate Blanchett diving into the interesting and challenging world of tv acting. One would think actresses of their caliber would embrace such a challenge. Aging is not easy for the pretty actresses, nor is coming face to face with the realization that your talent only got you so far.
