I realized 20~30 minutes after accidentally taking acid that I had taken it. I was in college at the time so it was kind of like a happy surprise because hey, sweet somebody gave me acid and I didn't have to pay for it. I thought it was only 2-3 hits so no big deal. Roughly an hour in I went to the bathroom and for some reason got the vibe that I was in a prison. From there my train of thought spiraled out of control into thinking I was in some sort of digital prison, and that my entire life was taking place in essentially the matrix, but I was there because in real life I'd committed some terrible crime. My drug addled mind reasoned that the ultimate penalty for this crime would be to die, so I then figured that in order to escape this "mind prison" I had to kill myself. I tried 3 times to break headfirst through the 4th floor window of my friend's apartment (40-50 feet above concrete) and was fortunately stopped on my 4th attempt. If I'd tried again I probably would have died, as the window was now pretty much shattered from me ramming my head into it 3 times. After the EMS got there and handcuffed me to the stretcher, I floated out of my body and into a white void, where I proceeded to expand into an omnipresent being that encompassed the universe and shrink into a singularity that took up an infinitely small space in the universe. I continued fluctuating between these two, watching galaxies and planets and strangely colored balls of light flow around me until I woke up in the hospital the next day. Frankly I'm just glad I'm alive.
