Why would I assume image/text boards are new? I know 4wangs has been around since circa 2003. /secert lounge/ since 2011 and now world4ct 2014, I've been around since 2007. But also know that it has never been a popular format until around 2008. Older people who only know facebook and old style forums prefer what they are used to and stick with places like reddit.
