Opposing Feminism

Hey /lounge/, I am currently doing a politics degree and would like some of you to talk about opposing feminism. Thought this would be the best place to start a thread about feminism.

Is this a pro-feminism paper you're writing or what?
5 Name: Anonymous : 2015-03-03 03:44
Is not that hard to understand that feminism is equality.

I myself am anti-feminist but what I'm writing is generally about peoples attitudes towards feminism

So you dont think that women are equal huh?
8 Name: Anonymous : 2015-03-03 05:14

in what way are they equal?

I believe in gender equality to a reasonable degree (i.e. taking in to account biological differences), but I disagree with feminists on most things.
10 Name: Anonymous : 2015-03-03 05:47
Who the fuck said feminism is about equality?
11 Name: Anonymous : 2015-03-03 05:07
>>1 You're finding /lounge/s attitude towards feminism? I'm guessing you're deliberately biasing the information in your favor.

and what about the attitude of feminists toward people? someone should write about that
14 Name: Anonymous : 2015-03-03 13:33

Well, If you are agree with gender equility you are a feminist by definition. Feminism is about to rise women rights to men level. Of course we have biological differences.

>>14
I don't see it that way. Feminism is one specific gender equality movement that I do not agree with. If you want to call me a feminist because I support equal rights for women go ahead, it doesn't change the fact that I vehemently disagree with a good 90% of them.

Have you posted this to reddit? Probably get a larger response with fewer troll answers there. /r/mensrights and /r/egalitarianism would be good ones. /r/OneY for men in general.

this may have been feminists original goal up until the cause was hijacked by overweight American lesbians who simply want to feel special in a world that doesn't value people with no self control.

Feminism *was* about equality, and a lot of the feminists in reality (versus on the internet) actually do fight for gender equality. The problem is "professional" and internet feminists, who are batshit crazy. It's intended for equality but man-haters decided they liked it and now go on crazy rants on the internet, giving birth to the shitlords simply known as SJW.

still believing feminists when they pretend to support equality
How can people still be this naive? Feminists hate equality and fight against it all the time. Egalitarians and gender equalists generally support equality, hell even MRAs are mostly pro-equality even though they only focus on the male half, but feminists by and large oppose equality. They have a very skewed and delusional view of gender roles and sexism.
19 Name: Anonymous : 2015-03-03 22:36
There is no way to see it. Its an objective fact, a definition. Being disagree with feminist that you could have talked to doesn't imply that you are disagree with feminism.
20 Name: Anonymous : 2015-03-03 22:41
By definition, yes. Became a fight to make women > men a long time ago.
21 Name: Anonymous : 2015-03-03 22:48
Well, maybe its hijacked there in murica. But here in europe most of feminist people are not feminazis.
22 Name: Anonymous : 2015-03-03 23:04
>>18
I don't know what definition of feminism you got and who explained you that but you are absolutely wrong. Feminism is about giving to women same rights than men.
23 Name: Anonymous : 2015-03-03 23:11
>>22
it wasn't even intended for equality. Since modern feminism began in the 60s it's been about blaming men for everything wrong and only supporting equality when it

would benefit women. They've always opposed things like equal custody rights for fathers, recognition of male victims of DV, recognition of F-on-M rape, etc and

have always attacked anybody who even tried to mention men's issues. The belief that feminists used to support equality is just revisionist history.

If you look in the dictionary, fast food and politics are synonyms. Not really, but kinda close.
25 Name: Anonymous : 2015-03-03 23:23
>>23
Eh, no. You are confounding feminism with feminazism.
26 Name: Anonymous : 2015-03-03 23:28
I get my definition of feminism from the beliefs and actions of actual real-life feminists. It doesn't matter whether or not feminists *claim* to support equality, nobody's arguing that of course feminists pretend that they support equality. But most feminists very clearly do NOT support gender equality, therefore feminism is not about equality.
27 Name: Anonymous : 2015-03-03 23:34
If you look at the late 1800s and early 1900s it was all kicked off with the women suffrage movement which did push for equality, and there are still feminists that support legit equality and point out issues with men too (at least the feminists that I personally know do this, not sure about the ones that do this for a living and devote their lives to it, but they're also fucking crazy to begin with).
28 Name: Anonymous : 2015-03-03 23:51
the problem with feminism is the same problem any group has which anyone can join. Radicals.

at one time it was about equality but as you see from tumbler if you are a straight, sorry cis white male you are evil all your ancestors are evil, you can not be a victim of rape racism gender bias or really anything. obviously not all feminists think this way but the radicals sure do and who wants to be in a group that voices and promotes such ideas under a vale of "equality"?
29 Name: Anonymous : 2015-03-04 00:02
>>26
Well, if the feminist people you know doesn't support gender equiality they are calling themselves "feminist" wrongly. People who call themselves feminist cant change the definition of the feminist movement.
30 Name: Anonymous : 2015-03-04 00:39
>>28
On that same token, it's an objective fact that if you support equality for men you are a mens rights activist.
31 Name: Anonymous : 2015-03-04 00:50

That wasn't even really feminism, that was simply suffragists. They didn't even call themselves feminists and had no connection to modern feminism. Most feminists only acknowledge men's issues when they talk about "patriarchy backfiring" and blame them all on men and then claim women are still the primary victims. And even that's the minority, most feminists think men's issues are minor and insignificant and shouldn't even be discussed until all women's issues are solved.
32 Name: Anonymous : 2015-03-04 01:22
YOU HAVE ALL BEEN BRAINWASHED BY THE CANCER THEY CALL FEMINISM. IT WAS ONCE A GOLDEN MOVEMNT, CORRUPTED BY EXTREMISTS AND NOW INSIDIOUSLY RECRUITING PEOPLE THROUGH MINDFUCK TECHNIQUES.

EVERYONE WHO DOESNT BOW DOWN TO WOMEN PLEASE READ THESE ARTICLES. ITS ABOUT ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT FEMINISM NOWADAYS.

If 90% of the people that call themselves feminists don't fit your definition of feminism, including just about all feminist organizations and academic feminists, then maybe you're just using a shitty definition. Feminism is defined by the views and attitudes of the majority of feminists, and that's it.

I never said was for any of those movements. I think all one sided movements had there place in the past before we had an international community and the internet to focus on all issues as a human race.
35 Name: Anonymous : 2015-03-05 01:19
giving women the same rights than men.

What rights are women deprived of in the first world? And I find it funny how people like to say/think that feminists and feminism in general is about equality between both genders but feminists remain oddly quiet when it comes to addressing issues that don't benefit them.
36 Name: Anonymous : 2015-03-06 04:55
Feminism is pure company-driven propaganda.

Why would a woman work her life in an underpaid job instead of playing with her child.

At this point I'm kind of past caring about typical gender roles and all that jazz. Not to say that I endorse additional segregation of humanity but it just doesn't matter.
41 Name: Anonymous : 2015-03-07 02:50
But if we disagree with the vast majority of feminists than yes we disagree with feminism. Unless you are arguing that most people who call themselves feminists are by definition anti-feminists, in which case that's just stupid.
42 Name: Anonymous : 2015-03-07 18:20
Feminists at work who wonder why they can never get "a good boyfriend".
Because you're a fat ugly bitch with a personality that offends any man with common sense.

That's simply a definition feminists tell other people so they can recruit more girls into their cult. In reality feminists don't want equality, they just want what's best for women. When that means equality they support it. When sexism and double standards are what's best for women, than feminists always support sexism and double standards. That's why feminists still promote the idea that women deserve to be protected from violence more than men, and that violence against women is worse than violence against men. Obviously that's not equality, it's just what's best for women so that's what feminists support
44 Name: Anonymous : 2015-03-08 23:05
I'm speaking from my experience. The ones I know aren't batshit crazy and do see problems that guys have in society.

I'm not saying that's how it wound up, I'm saying the initial goal was for equality and some people still fight for that. However, plenty of fat, man-hating bitches have gone apeshit over nothing and fought for female superiority instead of gender equality, and these ones have ultimately become the dominant ones.
45 Name: Anonymous : 2015-03-08 23:42

Equiality is equiality. Is not something about the gender. If you want that men have the same rights than women you still being a feminist.
46 Name: Anonymous : 2015-03-09 00:32
>>43
That's not feminism. Feminism is about fighting for womens rights, the only reason feminists (the good ones anyway) say they fight for mens rights as well is so that they don't look like hypocrites. Infact, the name "feminist" itself is sexist to men, anyone who claims to fight for equality for all, is by definition, an equalist.
47 Name: Anonymous : 2015-04-01 21:43
Anyone who says Reverse sexism or reverse racism should be put against the wall immediately. It's sexism or racism no matter what direction it takes place in.
48 Name: Anonymous : 2015-04-07 00:46
Being born a white male is neither a privilege or a right, and the sooner these fucking feminazis realize that, and get over themselves, the quicker humans can potentially achieve equality.

Femanon here.

I personally love the shitstorm that starts everytime some poor faggot makes one of these anti feminest threads. Gives me a chance to see just how upset I've made everyone and chuckle a bit.

You think jokes about kitchens or showing tits bother me? It just goes to show how much power any random female holds over you, they can pull your complete attention away from a topic just by having a vagoo.

Sure, you'll act tough and cynical here, but we all know it's just a desperate overcompensation for how much of a doormat you are IRL. If you decide to lash out and act a bit sexist now and then, I can't really complain.

After all, we do pretty much run the show.
Men rely on us, work for us, spend money on us, buy us houses and cars and clothes, sign prenups that we can turn around and cash in when we feel like ditching them for a younger, cuter piece of ass.

Got a kid with a girl? Don't fool yourself, it's HER kid, not yours. Piss her off and she'll take it and leave your ass, and you can pay her a nice chunk of child support for the rest of your life.

Yep, this is the power we hold over you. So you go ahead and make your rape jokes, really. I still know that when you see me on the streets you'll be watching, getting hard, and problably crying a tear or two because you know you'll always be a forever alone faggot
