Sup /lounge/, quick question for you guys. Today on my way home from work on a 5 lane road I ran past a school bus on the complete other side of the road (roughly 50 ft away) that I didn't see until the last second. As I passed by the driver of the bus shouted "500 dollars!"

I live in a decent sized city, and know that the buses do not have cameras. I've been driving for 6 years and have never gotten any sort of traffic ticket or even been pulled over or given a warning.

How likely do you guys think It'll be that I get a $500 fine? I know mostly up to if she got my license plate or not but I've heard they usually nail repeat offenders or people with bad driving records.

Anyone else done this before? Did you end up getting caught?

Its not about the camera. If they see your plates then your screwed

done it before when the bus was on my side on a major street. cop was actually right behind me. didn't even get a ticket. idk how

anything higher than a 3 lane road and you're fine

No cameras, no proof, no case. If anything happens contest it and youll win.

In my state you are allowed to pass if the road is 4 lanes or more (4 as in 2 ones way two in the other) but that may not be true for you. Enjoy your ticket.

right, I don't think they did because she was too busy screaming and honking... even if she did though, and they have no cameras, and I'm a first time offender, I'm just seeing if anyone else has been in the situation, maybe where it was clear that they saw the plates and they got off from having a clear record or something...

Cuz that'd never happen. We all know bus drivers are the pinnacle of intelligence and morality.
