17 year old, me and a buddy went with his parents to a camp ground in VT, situated in a small valley. We brought with us a small baggy that contained 4 sugar cubes which had been dripped with straight up pure LSD we bought from a hippy in Cambridge MA, who had a source at MIT who made the shit. At $10 a drop, we thought it was pretty expensive. If I'd had ANY idea how potent that shit was, I wouldn't have batted an eye.

We dropped the acid after having had several beers, had a small boom box playing random music from the 1970s, and settled down at a camp fire. Over the range of mountains to our north, there was a thunder storm rolling in.

Now, I'm from New York City, and I'd rarely, if ever, seen a night sky like we were looking. The acid kicked in just as the storm to the north started to really get into full swing, so I had the lower portion of the sky over the mountains with lighting and clouds, and right above us perfectly clear sky.... When that shit kicked in, maaaaan... Holy shit. The starts were all dancing, and the lightning seemed to arc up right over my head (at least that's how I remember it).

Didn't get any sleep that night. His folks found us at like 5am, still tripping balls, laying by the camp fire.

Best fucking trip I ever had.

For some reason after my PCP experience (Which resulted in a nearly 48 hour black out.) I still decided to take it upon my self to be the guinea pig in my own psychedelic experiments. If I ever come across anything similar to a thought control drug, truth syrum and/or even a psychological weapon I instantly comprehend the idea of LSD, one of the most unique substances.

What would you say leads to a transcendental experience? I've tried shrooms a few times just in my room and I usually just get open eye visuals, euphoria and really focused on thinking but nothing like how people describe it can be
