If the Mars would be in the same orbit as the moon, would it crash in the earth /vip/?
That's kinda a tough question.

Mars could never be made to take the moon's orbit.

Orbits have a tangential velocity with gravity driven perpendicular acceleration.

Because gravity is obviously influenced by mass, the difference between Mars and the moon will have a huge impact on the acceleration.

In order to make Mars orbit, you would have to change the tangential velocity and make it a different orbit.

Think of it like this. Would you rather be fat. Or would you rather be fat. Get skinny and blow up again?

This has nothing to do with your problem. im just curious
