The French are not Americans.

Americans believe the "most muslims are perfectly peaceful" line because America is founded on diversity. The whole idea of America is that anyone who is willing to play by the rules is perfectly welcome here.

But not France. France is a European country with thousands of years of French history. Letting immigrants into France is only a very modern concept, influenced by the success the policy has had in America's history. But they will realize that what works for America does not work for France.

While most Muslims don't carry out the acts themselves, they don't condemn the extremists for their acts. The quiet non violent ones still want you to pray to Allah and worship him, or you should die, they just won't kill you for it, but they won't stop the extremists for doing it.

As a French, it's a bit more complicated.

Dieudonné was pulled apart from tv and other medias because he made a "sketch" (dont know the english word) about a jew. With our history on WWII, talking about jews is ~forbidden.

Nobody invited him anymore and since, he is trashing the jews because of their power on medias and how nobody can't say a shit about them.

Last year, the prime minister focused the justice on him about a show where he was talking about jews (like he was about muslims, french, catholics, africans..) BUT, about the jews its " antisemitic and you can't laught about that.

He had A LOT of pursuit in justice and.. the State Council was even called to forbid his show before it happens (what you can call censorship). France has been punished by european court a lot about case like that, but it was the FIRST time State council made a decision in one afternoon just because a minister pushed them (yes, it's forbidden in theory)
