Well it certainly isn't very creative. But it IS why religion is still around. Social institutions legitimize it by normalizing it, and it provides a fun little narrative that makes a person feel like they're connected to some "creator of reality" entity. And if you truly believe that, then there really is nothing else major for you to morally or normatively search for. It's just about refining what you already know.
