Sup, /lounge/?
I suffer from anxiety, ADD and depression. I can't seem to function in the real world around people and I can't hold down a job.
I have an appointment with my psychiatrist in December and was thinking of bringing up SSI.
Can he help me? If so, what can I say?

You need to have some proof that you're disabled; he might be able to help. It really just depends- being committed to a mental hospital makes a big difference. Outwardly visible symptoms, scars, anything like that. Good luck!!

It is VERY hard to get SSI due to depression in the US. Believe me, I tried and failed despite having made several suicide attempts, gone through a lifetime of documented depression based counseling, and attended a 3 week vacation at a crazy house.
