I lost my mom a few days ago. Her health has been declining.

The last time I saw her in person was early this year when I moved out to go to college. She was crying and she tried to hug me, but I pushed her away because it was embarassing and my friends were there to help me move my stuff.

Shes been trying to call me but I was busy. Always declined the calls. She will always be there, or so I thought.

A few days ago, I got a call from my sister that my mom was in the hospital. I flew back but I was too late.

Now I'm in a daze.

I'm half my mother's age so I pretty much raised myself when it comes to things like personality, mannerisms and education. My mom is overweight and has super low self esteem so she likes to take it out on everyone else. I just stay out of her way

Me and my mom are best friends basically. We've been through a lot and still going through shit. I'm there for her and vice versa. Just the thought of losing her one day makes me anxious and almost tear up.
