I'm struggling to stay focused

Hi /lounge/

I study my degree part time (20-25 hrs per week) and work full time (40-50 hours per week) I'm currently doing 10 hour days mon-fri at work and 10 hour days studying over the weekend but it's burning me out. I'm struggling to stay focused and motivated. I really want this and I'm doing well at work. I'm just so badly wanting some downtime and I dont have any.

Do you think popping adderall or something at the weekend will help me get the motivation I need to study harder and faster so I might get a few hours gaming on a weekend at least

Yes, it'll help you study longer, but it won't be sustainable. Eventually you crash, even on stims.

Also I've done a lot of stims, so, can AMA. Likely others will chime in too.

What your feeling is normal, it happens to everyone who didnt have rich mommies or daddies to send them to college, the moral of the story is to drop out, work without school you can live, try school without work.

From my experience adderall is a light cocaine. Not as addictive but it hyped me up a lot. I would walk around all day no food or drink and get everything done at work hours before it was due.

Rich mommy and daddy did send me to uni (uk here so not so bad) except I just hit acid and LSD with the art students and failed.

Now I feel like I have to do it to prove I can do it. But they are not putting any more money in so I gotta do it myself.

Any serious side effects/tell tale signs that I'm using. My parents would go nuts if they found out.

Depends on how observant your parents are... your pupils will change, you'll be thirsty, not hungry.. Some people get irritable and anxious, generally that means take less.

Oh, also maybe they'd notice some sweating. Really depends how observant they are...
