While the ethnical diversity in Vienna is steadily increasing, I agree with your assesment that Austria is still pretty tame, especially compared to our neighbouring countries.

The effects of immigration are pretty much confined to probably the 5 largest cities. The rural parts (Piber for instance) are still pretty much untouched and very white and catholic. So much so, that I (cityfolk) have to remind myself constantly that they comprise a hefty majority (especially visible during elections and other popular votes - the majority of Austrians are still backwater traditionalist catholic farmers).
