why did they kill Jesus?

is it just me or does it not really say in the bible? I have been watching some bible shit and going to church with my family (I'm not religious, I don't consider myself an atheist but the bible just seems kinda ridiculous to me) ... and they never really say why they kill Jesus

it's like he's walking around doing Jesus shit then all of a sudden the Jews are pissed and the Romans are like "this is retarded but whatever I guess we will kill him for you" and then they kill him

but basically for no reason

oh and i did ask people at the church and even a guy who worked there and they said variations of :

"he died for our sins"

and when I ask what that even means they look at me weird and im like:

"it's not like he was walking around and keeled over from a sin overdose, the romans nailed him to a big piece of wood"

and they are basically like "you just don't get it"

how does this make sense what am i missing

Jews were pissed at Jesus because he was telling them that everything God promised them was bullshit, and that they were corrupt and they would never be happy, and that they needed to fight the romans, etc. He was making all kinds of trouble, and the jews and the romans both wanted him dead.

Then you have Judas who was at the head of the "resistance" who tought Jesus was like Superman and that he was going to kill all romans. When he saw that Jesus was all peace and love, he told the romans where he was hiding, because he hoped that Jesus would go super sayan on their asses.
It didn't go as planned.

does it really say all that?

i am actually thinking about reading the new testament because there are 100,000,000+ people in this country who say they think it's true but if you ask people about it nobody fucking know what it says and i find that fucking weird

so why did they kill him though, what were the charges the romans basically killed him because the jews were pissed but not really for any reason?

also who paid judas the silver, the jews or the romans?

IMO this would be like the USA in the middle east having a bunch of muslims come up to our solders and being like "hey there is some guy over there telling us not to behead people and be dicks, would you go kill him painfully for us as a part of official USA business?" and us being like "oh yeah totes ill get right on that"

It was a turf war. Jesus was all going around and preaching Christianity in the Judaism neighborhood. The Jews got pissed that Jesus was taking away their business so they had him whacked.
