Need a new PC, new printer too, any advice. Thanks

I've had my current one for 5 years. So its past time for a new one.

I don't want a laptop, tablet, or other mobile computers. Have no desire for a computer I can misplace.

I want a non-apple PC desktop that's good for playing video games. I can afford to spend some cash on it. Any advice?

As for printer, I'm sick of being ripped off on disposable ink cartridges. What's a good brand that let's you recycle ink cartridges?

Win10 is so terrible the time has come to think really seriously about Linux, which has improved out of all recognition since the days it was for geeks only.

I am undecided. My very trustworthy Asus netbook's hard drive completely died not long after installing Win10. It may have just been its time, I don't know, since it is a disc based HD. but I have an SSD coming in so I am hoping it will be faster. I am gonna try Win10 again since I kinda liked it. Win7 was pretty awesome though.

windows 8.1 is good as long as you get classic shell to make it look like windows 7

windows 10 is horrible. its too slow and it a total mess. learning curve is even worse now

I don't know about 8 since I went from 7 to 10 but as far as the upgrade procedure....YES. IT FCKING SUCKS.

My internet is slow as sht and I have to wait for it to install damn device drivers for my netbook. I had to install 10 twice so its a very unnecessarily long update process and I cannot directly download the driver package for my netbook. So my netbook downloads all of these updates at once and I cannot choose. Ridiculous.

Also, does Restore EVER work? I regularly backed up my system and when I actually needed it, Windows couldn't find the backup.
