Problem with P.C.

I have had a problem with a PC I have just built. I ordered a load of new parts and installed them. The disc drive would open and then close immediately. I would hear it spins and then suddenly stop. I replaced the disc drive with the one from my PC which works, however the problem still persisted. I also changed the hard drive, graphics card, ram, power supply and SATA cables. None of which helped. I was wondering if you guys could help because chat rooms are shit. I asked on technology but they aren't answering.

Get a spray bottle of window cleaner and spray that inside the disc drive when its open and maybe on the fan if you want, might help

Your motherboard might be dirty, try taking it out and washing it with some warm soapy water. If you don't want the hassle, just use a vacuum cleaner.

do you have your OS disc as an ISO ?
if so, download a little app called RUFUS, which will allow you to make your usb bootable with the ISO you loaded

heres the link for rufus

Do you have the correct power cable plugged into it?

Does everything else work?

Just lurking on /comp/ is a bad alone, don't even get me started on advice. Most likely cause is bad driver or bios update assuming the hardware itself isn't failing

If it makes a difference I had the atx disconnected and the disc drive functioned normally. Then when I reconnected it the drive began to have the same problem.
