Anyone seen any analysis or writeup's about the actual exploit mechanism. Does it work in the development emulator too (<- no idea about Apple development)? I don't own any iStuff...

Basically it's from when the iPhone tries to display the message in Preview and trim the message, it accidentally treats the Arabic characters like normal characters, when they're actually multi-byte and it's trying to cut them in half.

Guys it really doesn't turn off iDevices, I could be wrong I guess. But it happens because iOS doesn't understand the spacing and parsing on the text.
