Sup /comp/, I'm having some trouble with DVD burning

I've gone through twelve programs today, trying to burn a DVD for my mom cuz she doesn't give a fuck about quality. My go-to burner is suddenly converting and burning in under two minutes, and the final product is bafflingly horrid. The movie is now under five minutes long, and runs at several times the normal speed. The audio doesn't sync and runs at normal speed. It also doesn't reach the end, just stops halfway or so.

All the other burners either leave a fat watermark or flawlessly burn the first 20 minutes and then tell you to buy it or get fucked. I'm using AVI DVD Burner for reference.

I can't find any preferences that aren't bitrate or burn speed, which shouldn't make a difference as far as I know.

I'm on my last DVD.

If you have a USB stick lying around, download Bitdefender Rescue CD, mount it, reboot your PC and boot up in BRCD. Probably need to tab F12 to get the boot options, depending on your PC, if it's an OEM prebuilt or custom.
