Well as for myself i've had 2 android phones over about 5 years as i got a new one last new year because old one felt slow compared to everything else.. as for my family they got apples that break so often in all kinds of ways that they barley last 2 years, mostly screen cracking.

Apple makes overhyped, piece of shit phones that you could barely customize. I had an HTC for two years that worked fine. I had an Iphone 5 that got lines on the screen and was unable to scroll only after six months.

I returned that shit for a Samsung Galaxy S3. Fuck Iphones. Never again.

This thread isn't about which is better, or why you prefer one over the other. The point is, once you've made your choice, why give a fuck what anybody else uses?

I don't think apple is a threat, and I think their products do a great job of filling a very big niche (A smartphone that almost never gets viruses, is very easy to use, and you can bye the new one without any research, knowing that it will have one of the best processors on the market).
That being said though there are a number of significant advantages to androids if you have the time and knowledge to get the right one for you, and to use them properly.
1. You can actually put whatever you want on your phone without jailbreaking it.
2. A much broader diversity of apps, though unlike iphones some of them contain viruses so you need to spend more time checking out the apps you want.
3. Expandable memory, the fact that you still can't swap out MSD cards to supplement the built in storage on iphones is disgraceful, even if most of their customers don't need that ability.
4. There are many different Android phones, so whatever your needs in a phone you can probably find an Android to fulfill them.
5. This is not true of all Androids, but a lot of them have removable batteries that you can replace when they wear out, or with a better one whenever you want.

iPhones run faster, run stronger, have more supporters (3rd party, apps, etc).

Additionally they are indestructible provided you actually care about the conduction of your phone (even a Nokia can break if you don't take care of it). All you facts who bitch about cracks/bends/malfunctions are just ape-niggers who can't handle superior technology without throwing your own feces.

Even if you are dirt poor, you are wasting your money if you buy anything other than the iPhone 6.

I dunno I'm not to happy with my iphone. I can see the appeal if you want it to just work out of the box for basic tasks, which it does well. That said, my iphone makes other more sophisticated computing task either impossible or very difficult and there's no real capacity for the user to roll up their sleeves and do it them selves. Obviously not for every one, but in still of the opinion the Apple is overhyped since you asked.

Was an Android phone user and switched to Apple. Don't plan on going back at the moment.

Reasons why I loved Android:

Shit ton of customization.
Shit ton of different looking phones.
Could find a tiny phone that fits in my pocket.
Phones of every price range.

Reasons why I hate Android:

Had to shell out money all the fucking time and get a new fucking phone to keep up with Android updates .(Fuck you Motorola in particular.)

Reasons why I love Apple:

Quality made phone.
Don't have to buy another one to update my software.
Phone can last longer than a year or two and not slow the fuck down and crash all the time.

Reason why I hate Apple:

They are starting to go with the "Bigger phones are better" trend. (FUCK YOU NO.)
No customization.

I had an iPhone. Now i have a Sony Xperia Z1. I don't hate on iPhones but i just wanted to be able to edit my home screen myself. I liked how you can add widgets and stuff. I see that apple is a step behind android at most stuff. Design wise is the iPhone a lot better but they slowly copy a lot of android's features like widgets and the scrolly-down-thingy and so on. But the iPhone is just easy to use.

You misunderstand. We don't hate Apple. We hate the sheep who stand in line to be the first ones to buy the latest incarnation and don't seem to realise that it's just a fucking phone.

I spent a lot of time researching my phone, played with a few of them and ended up purchasing the Note 4.

Why did I move away from Apple? A few reasons really.

1. Wanted the freedom to customize as I see fit. Tired of playing the jailbreaking game.
2. Wanted different default applications
3. I hate, hate, hate iTunes.

I don't hate Apple, just felt the Note 4 was the best choice for me personally. The Windows phones are nice but the lack of Apps really pushed me away.

Unfortunately there are a minority of Android users who criticize apple users.
In my experience, a lot of them see using an iphone as just lazy because, as I said, with the extra effort Androids are better. This view however neglects the fact that a lot of people would have to put an inordinate amount of time into gaining the abilities needed to effectively choose and use an Android, and the fact that a lot of people have no need for the advantages Android offers.
At the same time, there is also a minority of Apple users who criticize Android users, In my experience a lot of them because they are misinformed about the exact specs of iphone's vs. Androids, and they don't see what's so great about the advantages offered by Android.
Finally, In my opinion, most of the rest of the people criticizing both ways are just fanboys rabidly defending their chosen product and utterly disregarding logic and evidence.
