It's been a month since I've started my membership and I've only seen one "new" movie, Adventureland and one series, Narcos.

If it wasn't so affordable, I think I would cancel my membership. Also, why do they have so many crap movies on there and almost never add new films? It's been like 25 days and not even one new arrival.

Don't you think their available movies to stream is extremely limited?

I remember eight years ago it was great for watching Criterion films, but I don't know if it's still like that. I have like 325 more films left to watch on my bucket list, so I might rejoin if it's like it was eight years ago.

You might be thinking of Hulu Plus. They have the Criterion channel. I dont know tha Netflix has any Criterion at all.

No, I'm definitely thinking about Netflix. I was getting physical discs mailed to my home though, I never instantly watched anything.

Netflix's mail order service was good. Netflix's streaming service has nowhere near as good of a selection.

In my opinion, aside from the Netflix Original content, it's not even worth paying for in Canada. The US Netflix has way more content and it does seem to get more new releases.

That must be what's happening here, and I'm willing to bet our choices are worse than Canada's.

The mail service and the streaming service split. They used to be all one package but then Netflix has been trying to get rid of the mail part.

They shouldn't, though, because not everyone has unlimited bandwidth.

I've seen lots of great movies on Netflix, especially newer ones. Also enjoyed a few favorite TV shows courtesy of them.

Not for me. I've seen a lot of films for the first on Netflix, DVD included. I do admit to rewacthing a lot, but I've seen every episode they have of Blacklist, I've seen dozens for Korean films, I've seen Keeping Up Appearances and Bit of Fry and Laurie from start to finish five or six times each, and the list keeps going. I'm never getting rid of it because there's always something I haven't seen yet.

They add new movies the first of every month and a few throughout the month.

The amount of movies from 1902-1999, the 20th Century, is 655.

I interpret it as being limited since the amount of old films is very low.

I don't get it. I live in a moderate Muslim country and the largest telecommunications company here, Telkom, decided to pull the plug on Netflix until they restrict violent and sexual content (more on this later), but this was after Netflix was up and running.

Netflix wasn't cancelled on me because I pay for a smaller, different telcom service. Still, I notice their available movies to stream is highly limited (we don't get the movie delivery service). I doubt that they limited their movies based on violent and sexual content upon launching because there's nudity in Narcos, and I see a host of violent movies available. So I wonder what gives?

By the way, when I researched why Telkom really wants to ban Netflix in Indonesia, it isn't because of a proposed censorship at all. It's for money, surprise surprise. They want Netflix to sign an exclusive deal with them...or else.

That's the best information I've ever gotten on this site.

I've been getting ready to subscribe to Netflix. I bought the device needed and I already have Amazon Prime and was wondering if I should just stick with that for a while.

Now I can see what's offered!

I mainly use the Netflix for the shows, which is a solid selection, and their original content is really good.

Movie-wise, you can probably find a hidden indie gem here and there that you would have probably not heard of otherwise. But it's not the best place for new movies.
