The most advanced life in the universe.

One possible solution to the Fermi paradox is that we are currently the most advanced life in the universe. Assuming for a moment that this is true, what should we do with that power?
Is the universe our playground and any other life our bitches. Or should we try to be all Star Trek utopian like? What does /sci/ think?

It's so unlikely that we're the most advanced life

>>1Do you know how big the universe is? Every star you see in the night sky is in our galaxy only, and there are many more galaxies than stars in the Milky Way.

Shove objects into our anuses for pleasure.

>>2I know it's unlikely. Like I said, let's assume. What if?

>>1Another possible option is that no matter how advanced species get in the universe, it's physically impossible to travel fast enough to visit other life sustaining planets with intelligent life in a timely manner?

>>3Ok then, most advanced in our galaxy our at least imediate neigbourhood for the first hundreds of years of space exporation. Point is, what if we're going to be visiting them first?

Guys come on, OP said that we are ASSUMING something, as in ASS.
It's totally possible to make such assumptions as it's in fact how most things are discovered.
Now OP, following your line of thought we have the technology to do so yes? If so, we conquer, however, that doesn't mean we japan'd the whole universe, there may be fights like those, but we may also encounter pretty stronk lifeforms, think of it like Starship Troopers.
At any rate during the conquer we'll hit the point where we realize we can't just kill everything, and go Star Trek.

So we'll become insidious, like the Federation from Star Trek, and trick other civilizations into 'joining' with us and conquer them that way.
And then we can introduce a sterilizing agent in the medicine we 'gift' them like in that one SG1 episode.

If that's true, then we might become really wise, we wouldn't hurt other lives i think but conquer any vacant planets. There are so many of them, war would be a loss of time/money for a wise form of life.
