infinite length

Hey /sci/

I don't know shit about Physics but I've been having this thought in my head for a while.

Imagine If we were to create a metal pipe (or similar) long enough to loop around earth and connect the end and the beginning of the pipe, making a pipe without a beginning or an end.

Is it possible?
Would the pipe seemingly float it the air? (since moving it further or closer to the center of the earth would require it to change length)
Can one say that the pipe has infinite length?
Is the pipe formed as a circle or a straight line?

If the pipe was strong enough to hold its weight it could stay in one place for a while. But i would suggest spinning it to create gyrosopic stability.
