Anyone have some good advice/links for someone who's majoring in mechanical engineering and can't understand the teachers? Specifically statics.

So basically I've spent 3 lectures listening to an Indian man speak gibberish about statics (literally I just copy what he draws and try to teach myself with the bad book), but the problems aren't similar to the homework problems (which are graded). I got a 90 on the first HW and like a 60 on the second one. Does anyone have a good link that would help?
