What do you think would have given you the best chance of survival if you were in the shoes of this old man?

Obviously he was likely too old to try and escape or resist physically, but wat wud u do? Do u think u'd have the best odds by doing some crazy sporatic movements as you lead into running away? Or do you think you could win by some sort of verbal appeal?

For the sake of this hypothetical, you realized a couple seconds after he approached and started talking to you that his intent is 100% to kill you.

The thing its pretty hard to tell he's crazy till he pulls the gun out at you and by then you are fucked.

What are you going to do assume any random stranger who talks crazy shit is going to shoot you?

You could hope he's a bad shot and charge at him sure taking maybe a shot in the process, but you have to question whether the reason why he was so close to the old man was cause he knew he had the power in that situation to begin with. Its obvious he is a coward and targets people who can't resist him at all, or when he targets people who could pose a threat, he gives no warning/pause like he did here.

Really the only thing you can do to avoid this is not walk around in deserted areas where no one else is to begin with. As the only other alternative is pulling your gun out at any random stranger who says random shit to you which would happen a lot.
