Brexit is going to be the final nail in the coffin.

Daily reminder that Brexit is going to be the final nail in the coffin of the once-great Britain. Damn, we'll miss you guys. Be such a shame to see you reduced to the rate of a European North Korea once all the trade tariffs are imposed and multinationals flee the isles like a stinking vagina. Plus, the delicious irony that all the stupid racists who voted for it are all the ones who are at most risk of getting their shitty factory jobs axed. It's hard to find sympathy for a turkey who voted for Christmas, but there you go. Idiots gotta learn somehow, and maybe job-loss is the only language they'll understand.

Right?

I work in e-commerce, so I can work from home wherever. Turns out you can get a 4-bedroom on the Amalfi coast for a cupboard in rainy stinky London, sooo, fuckin' bye Shite Britannia!

I guess people are not ready for an anonymous unelected body dictating their laws without representation. The EU will fail and people will dodge a collectivist bullet. You would think after the nightmare of the cccp people would have learned but I guess one more failed attempt at it was needed

Because Switzerland and Norway are both like North Korea right? Because it's impossible to negotiate new trade deals, right? Because once you leave the EU, your economy magically stops being attractive to investors from within the EU right?

Remainers are completely illiterate when it comes to international affairs.

Like the feckless, unproductive, inefficient British workforce, who have been benefiting from EU subsidies for 40 years. Maybe that.

The EU started out as a trade deal. Why not revert it back to that?

Why do normal people even give a shit?
You could travel and work anywhere you wanted, provided you had the qualifications, long before the EU came to existence.

On thing is for sure. If the EU keeps pushing there will be a repeat of the 1930's and it will get real ugly.

Way to miss the point.

Yes, you are technically correct. But the workforce (ie: peasantry) of Britain has a huge reliance on overseas investment.

Take the recent buyover of Vauxhall by Peugeot as an example. The fact that Vauxhall is owned by the American GM is irrelevant. Peugeot would not have ever attempted this sort of thing, were 20% not knocked off the pound pretty much immediately after June 2016, and stayed there.

To be clear, this is not a magnanimous thing. They are going to strip and sell the UK manufacturing sites. Why? Brexit, that's fuckin why. Over the next year or two, similar industries will suffer the same fate. Remember the whole hoo-haa getting Tata to keep their steel manufacturing jobs in Wales? As a sole player now, the UK has a shitty hand and that sort of thing is going to happen time and time again, cos that's business.
