The government should work on giving people a hand up not a hand out.
They should work on losing customers by getting them off welfare.
If programs could be developed to help poor get a hand up this could happen
Let's say Jane Doe gets 1000 a month in benefits.
We get Jane into a job training program. Yes while she is in it it would cost more.
But she finishes the program gets a job and then actually starts PAYING into the system instead of taking. Let's say she starts paying 200 a month in taxes.
That's a gain of 1200.
