Some sanity from Britain regarding Israel

While Britain voted for the UN resolution that so angered Netanyahu and says that settlements in the occupied territories are illegal, a spokesman for May said that it was clear that the settlements were far from the only problem in the conflict.
In an unusually sharp public rebuke of Obama's top diplomat, May's spokesman said that Israel had coped for too long with the threat of terrorism and that focusing only on the settlements was not the best way to achieve peace between Jew and Arab.

May's spokesman said that Israel had coped for too long with the threat of terrorism and that focusing only on the settlements was not the best way to achieve peace between Jew and Arab.
The problem is that the settlements are used as an excuse for terrorism conducted by the Palestinians. They have other, more overriding reasons for their killings and rocket attacks against Israel, namely a basic commitment to the destruction of Israel, but they offer the settlements as a prime material reason for their "retaliatory" action. Whether one believes them, or not, most nations of the world seem to accept their argument as valid, and so usually side with the Palestinian terrorists over the Israeli victims! Even today, the world remains largely anti-semitic.
Netanyahu is unwilling to accept that he is playing into the Palestinians' and terrorists' hands by building more and more settlements. He only sees the settlements as extending the borders of Israel without realistic consideration of the other consequences. He seems to regard the US as an ally that will always be there to bail him out regardless of what he does to provoke Palestinian aggression. Regardless of what Trump does to resolve this latest "crisis", Netanyahu must now realize that he cannot look upon the US as a friend that will gladly and willingly hold Israel's hand if it decides to jump off a cliff. He has to realize that even friendship has conditions based on reason. How, I would ask Netanyahu, would Trump even initiate even a token neutral stance to achieving an Israeli-Palestinian peace if he outwardly supported Netayahu's provocative actions?
The only way peace can be achieved is through compromise, and that means concessions from both sides (i.e. the settlements and how the Jerusalem question is resolved). But with constant provocation, there won't even be a sitting down at the negotiation table. Surely Netanyahu realizes that.

What is the difference between the Nazi take-over of Czechoslovakia in WWII and the Israeli building of settlements in the West Bank? They are both policies of "Lebensraum".
I call it genocide because the endgame is the elimination of Palestinian territory. The Jews are the best ally the west has in the M.E. but that doesn't make their turds golden.

"What is the difference between the Nazi take-over of Czechoslovakia in WWII and the Israeli building of settlements in the West Bank?"
Czechoslovakia was never part of Germany (It was instead part of Austria-Hungary). The West Bank, in contrast, was the heartland of Israel and Judea in ancient times, and was part of the Jewish national home from WWI until 1948. In fact, the League of Nations actually called for "close settlement by Jews on the land". (League of Nations Palestine Mandate, Article 6)
"I call it genocide because the endgame is the elimination of Palestinian territory."
And Israel showed that when it forced all the Palestinians in Gaza to leave. Only that's not what happened. In actuality, Israel forced out all the JEWS from Gaza, and unilaterally withdrew. The Palestinians "reciprocated" by voting in Hamas, turning Gaza into a base for launching rockets at Israeli towns, and digging lots of infiltration tunnels for the purpose of kidnapping and killing Israelis. What makes you think the same thing won't happen if Israel withdraws from the West Bank?

>>4 is a nazi, he made racist derogatory remarks on my romani descent and claims my romani great-grandfather fought for Hitler!
That is the biggest slur of all time, considering Hitler killed my people!
Only a nazi would make such comments!

>>5I said nothing about Romanis. You constantly made bigoted remarks such as calling whites "pasty-faced". You can dish it out, but you can't take it.

No I did not.
"your as nasty as rippling river"
Look who's talking about nasty! You claim that Israelis are not "real Jews" because they are "pasty-faced". And in this very thread you told another poster "Get bent juden".
Like I said, you can dish it out, but you can't take it.

Then why do you engage in it, with your "pasty-face" remarks, and your "Get bent, juden"?
"I have rippling river attacking me under her nidii alias, so do you agree with her tactics of attacking my dad?"
I have not seen those remarks.

I hope some Jew tries to tell me that face to face. quoting ancient scriptures is pure bile. They bible is a big lie and anyone who quotes it to claim land should be skewered and impaled on a stake. I would cut his liver out and make him eat it. You are a racist pig!

You would be right, except that archeologists have found loads of Jewish artifacts all over the West Bank, proving beyond a doubt that Israel and Judea were real ancient kingdoms. Foreign documents (e.g. Egyptian, Assyrian, Roman) also make reference to Israel and/or Judea.
>>13"You are a racist pig!"
What is racist about stating facts of history? Israel and Judea were ancient kingdoms. I am not claiming that they were somehow racially superior. That would be ridiculous. They were also not necessarily even culturally superior. Remember the scene in Life of Brian where the Jews ask each other "What have the Romans ever done for us?"

Judea and Samara were Jewish long before they were Palestinian(1920?)
And after that they were really part of Trans-Jordan
So you're probably all for Russians actions in the Ukraine/Crimea

Softens the blow a little.
Did the UN condemn the 20,000 rocket attacks at Israel, or the too-numerous-to-count suicide bombings in Israel? How about the tunnels? How about Iranian support of militant terrorism? What good is the UN?
17 Name: Anonymous : 2016-12-30 23:22
nope...
the IDF can be disbanded, Conscription ended, maybe the checkpoints and Wall removed, the day the UN or the idiotic Western Left guarantees Israel's security and the end of terrorism.
no more so-called blockade of Gaza or incursions into that Hamas gangster Islamo-shythole hell-hole, either..

Get bent juden!
