White Privilege

There is no such thing as white privilege - it's called being responsible.

Many women and many minorities have failed to grasp that simple concept.

If they feel there is "white privilege" than it is time they give back to white men all that white man paid to carry the load. C'mon, I am waiting for my check.....

I'll agree being white mean I haven't had to deal with injustices non whites may have to face. But should being treated fairly be called a privilege? Isn't it more a case of it should be that way for all (human rights)?

All my working life I've had the privilege of giving money to total strangers so they don't have to work.

Just because you don't know what white privilege is, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. It has nothing to do with responsibility. I know that nine times out of ten, if I walk into a room or turn on a TV, most of people I encounter will look like me; I don't get followed around a store; I don't sh-t bricks when I'm pulled over by a cop for fear of being shot; I've never been told I'm "so well spoken" in a surprising tone; I've never been asked to offer the "white perspective" as if I can speak for my entire race; when something turns up missing, it's never assumed I stole it; the women in my race are not pressured to curl their hair or darken their skin; I don't have a "white voice" I must use in order to not offend the status quo.

But then again, maybe I'm just lucky and white privilege doesn't exist.

But somehow, that seems incredibly unlikely.
