You get to walk down into the gas chamber, and see the nails and scratch marks in the walls.

I don't understand how people can deny that.

Denying the holocaust was common among the neo-nazis growing up, in fact a friend of my basketball coach as a kid came to one of our practices and in the locker room he gave a speech to us kids saying that the holocaust was all made up (for no reason whatsoever).

And in those days they used to have survivors from the camps come to classes and stuff, I remember one old lady who showed us her prison number tattoo and talked about the conditions she had to face.

I'm surprised somebody as uncucked as your basketball coach can still live in Sweden.

Holocaust denial covers a range of things.
ex President Ahmadinejad of Iran claimed he thought the numbers might be exaggerated (he thought 2+ million) for effect to sell the Zionist takeover of Palestine as proof Jews need to expel the Arabs to protect themselves from another Holocaust - factually accurate but still labelled Holocaust denial.

Claiming it might be less than 6 million (according to Wikipedia most scholarly research puts the deaths at around 5.1 - 5.9 million), and pointing out that as many Roma may have been murdered by the Nazis (perhaps 5 million) is also Holocaust denial and antisemitism.

I have been to Auschwitz as well. It's horrifying. Did you see the movie made by the Red Army as they liberated the camp? I wish I could show that to every Holocaust denier out there.
