I'm having second thoughts about the EU single market

Up until recently I always thought that continued access to the EU single market should be a primary aim in Brexit negotiations, but I'm now starting to have second thoughts.

Firstly the single market is, in fact, not really a single market at all, but a deeply flawed compromise that has been hashed together by individual countries with their own self-interest in mind and which discriminate in a major way against the services industry which Britain relies on. What is it about the single market that is so appealing to us in the UK?

Secondly the hoops we have to jump though to stay in the single market would appear to involve either a) joining the EEA and capitulating to pretty much everything Brussels demands of us (and they've already made it abundantly clear they will screw us for everything they can) or b) negotiating a bespoke UK deal which will take at least 10 years and is likely to end up in acrimonious stalemate. Who the hell wants either of these options?

So why don't we just leave, continue to trade with the EU under WTO rules and make it clear that we are willing to discuss free trade with them in whatever capacity they would like to discuss them, but with no time limit? Sounds like a plan.

I think to start the process we should drop the terms 'soft Brexit' and 'hard Brexit' and rename them 'dirty Brexit' and 'clean Brexit'. The term 'hard Brexit' should definitely be consigned to oblivion since it now seems to have been adopted by those who want to make leaving the single market sound like a 'hard' option. I used to think that it would be, but I think that's because I was subscribing to the fear-mongering of the doomsayers more than I should have been.

They are doing it as another ultimate slap in the face to the existence of Israel and to Jews

Israelis creation was a big part due to the holocaust and by denying it they can deny Israel
