Spot on op-ed. I'm for referring to Trump as the minority president as often as possible to drive this point home. A representative gov't that doesn't actually represent the will of the people in something so basic as the selection of the representatives itself is no longer a legitimate gov't.

And this applies to the House as well. In 2012, Republicans won a lopsided majority with only 48% of the vote, while in 2014 they won 57% of the seats with only 52% of the vote. This doesn't even get into the concerted effort by Republicans to disenfranchise Democratic voters.

When the majority can honestly say Not My President, there's something wrong in the Republic.

NEITHER Clinton nor Trump won the popular vote. To WIN the popular vote, by proper definition, a candidate must have over 50% of the vote.

HOWEVER, Trump clearly won the Electoral College vote, which is the federal representative Constitutional method we use, and which BOTH Clinton and Trump knew while running.
