How much did the Politics Board contribute to 4ct's decision

we have concluded that 4ct's message boards are no longer providing a positive, useful experience for the vast majority of our more than 7 trillion monthly users worldwide.

I can't help but feel like that sentence is squarely directed at the Politics Board.

The /bijou/ board, by far.

The politics board is full of invective, depending on which side of the political spectrum is asked. I am on the Right and have noticed that the LEFTISTs here expect their orthodoxies to be agreed with at best or at least fall silent in the face of them at worst. If not the LEFTISTs will screech insults, ad hominem and abuse the report function.

I personally wonder if it has to do with Obama (a person like him). It is a well known observation here on 4ct that admins and moderators have a pronounced LEFTIST bias; say anything no matter how nasty about Caucasian, Christian, heterosexual, Republican and nothing will be deleted. Say anything remotely against homo, black, jew, man hating feminists and it will be deleted in a NY minute.

I think the Admins do not want this site to be a place to converse, debate, applaud or praise the right wing. No positives about Trump. If Obama (or someone like him) had won in 2008, 2012 the site would have been closed then. If a Romney type had won the White House in 2008, 2012 or just now, the site would not have been closed. If John McCain had just won the site would NOT have been closed. It is just simply censorship. 4ct admin knows that for the next four years, hell very likely eight, this board will have tons of threads where Hillary Clinton is applauded by his supporters (me) and the RIGHTIST posters won't be able to malign her without serious challenge.

If that's not 4ct admin's reason I would then guess that it is because a lot of this site's boards have been turned into fanboy meeting places. The tiniest, smallest criticism or negativity anything will bring down hostility (many times stalking your posting history) and constant abuse of the report function. Start a thread asking a question and a shithead doesn't like it, it will not have a long life expectancy.

On the other hand, just a quick perusal of that bijou board and just about anyone would agree to shut that one down. That is disgusting what goes on there.

Nah, it's boilerplate.

I doubt they take the boards' subject or the discussion into account at all. All they looked at is how many people come here, how often vs. how many times and dollars got led from here.
