EU law is made by a body that is unelected and wholly unaccountable. Are you genuinely content to live under dictatorship?

Perhaps you think it's a benevolent dictatorship and that makes it all right.

Because I don't believe the propaganda that 'it's a dictatorship, unelected and wholly unaccountable'. I'm not for moment saying it's a perfect institution - there's a whole lot wrong with it. But we will have no say in any kind of relationship with it (and we do need a relationship with the EU) if we leave.

I certainly don't believe the myth that UKIP peddles about the UK having the same relationship with the EU that Norway does, as if that's the perfect balance. What people don't know is that Norway pay pretty much the same as any other country to the EU in order to maintain trade links, but have no voice in any policy.

When was the last time it's financial affairs/accounts were legitimately signed off then?

Hmm, you've clearly used the same 'logic' here then as you did with your sublime assertion the other month that as Britain's Islamic population rapidly grows, the typical, considerable cultural 'frictions' we currently experience with said demographic will decrease accordingly.

We can veto any financial decision the EU makes.

Our politicians blame the EU for unpopular financial decisions because it detracts blame away from them for agreeing to them.

If we leave the EU the other members will simply refrain from corralling the refugees in their own countries and not only let them into the UK but actively encourage them to come over, and there'd be nowt we could do about.

So leaving the EU, apart from being economically disastrous for us would, somewhat ironically, exponentially increase the number of refugees and immigrants entering our country.

Propaganda? It's on the EU's own website. The only elected EU institution is the Parliament and that takes no part in legislation.

If you say "OK, the EU's undemocratic, but that's the price we have to pay for the economic benefits," that is at least a tenable viewpoint. Denying reality is not.

Where on the EU website? Where I'm looking it clearly states that the Parliament can accept or reject proposed legislation, and has a veto in certain aspects of policy. The two bodies that legislation are the Commission and the Parliament. A little disingenuous of you to say that Parliament "takes no part in legislation".
