I honestly can't believe that this still needs to be clarified. It's essentially a simulation of drowning, and is known to cause extreme pain, dry drowning, damage to lungs, brain damage from oxygen deprivation.

Waterboarding is torture.

Waterboarding is torture when it is done to non-miltary people. Waterboarding is torture to me...to you....hell...probably even Digby....but not to people who enter into killing Americans. They try to kill us and they get what they signed up for. The only people that are waterboarded are bad people.
